WQ: Writing Letters

For Wednesday Quotes hosted by A Fresh Cup of Coffee and Keep It Alive every other Wednesday.

This hits home for me because I used to write letters when I was a teenager to my cousin who lived in Italy, and then she moved to the USA. I remember I would go to the post office to pick out the coolest themed stamp that would stand out. I really would like to write again, but sadly, I think it may be a lost form of communication.

I miss writing; yes,
Using pretty paper too,
Including stamp themes. ©2025, tblily

"Then the Lord answered me and said:
“Write the vision
And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry." -Habakkuk 2:2-3

Children of GOD

Good afternoon, this scripture was given to me today by a sister in Christ which blessed me so much. It is such a blessing indeed! Thank you Father God.  A Fresh Cup of Coffee, Scripture & A Snapshot.

The True Light

He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. -John 1:10-13

A Story in 51 Words: Unavoidable Roadworks

Good afternoon, and my submission for Thursday's Can You Tell A Story by Esther Chilton using the words that are highlighted in bold. Such fun.

I pulled up my scarf as I walked down millipede alley, since roadworks were blocking my usual route. I entered my favourite retro wi-fi cafe, "I'll have a root beer float."

Gees magees, I knew I didn't need a tarot to know roadworks would be going on for a long time.
